Starring Bill Nighy (pictured ) and Aimee Lou Wood . Living is a 2022 British dra-ma film directed by Oliver Hermanus from a screenplay by Kazuo Ishiguro, adapted from the 1952 Japanese film Ikiru. Phenomenal adaptation. It’s not Kurosawa, but it managed to capture the same heart. One of the best stories told on film.
Bill Nighy gives a note perfect lead performance, a superbly understated performance that’s able to break your heart with a few words. Aimee Lou-Wood is terrific with a boundless optimism and endearing chemistry with Bill Nighy.
