Are you Newly Diagnosed?
Many people feel a variety of feelings when they find out they have diabetes. It is normal to feel worried, anxious or scared. It’s important to remember that you are not alone. Here are a few tips to start you on the road to managing diabetes.
Diabetes group education classes
These group education classes are available for patients who:
- have newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes
- have type 2 diabetes and are starting on insulin
- are on insulin.
Talk to your general practice team for further information about the classes and to ask for a referral.

CALENDER OF EVENTS
This class has been developed to help introduce regular and enjoyable exercise to people with diabetes.
Class is taken by Janet Straight.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat shoes.
Cost is $5 per session for members

Louise has a toenail clipping service at our premises once a month. We still have 2 empty slots on November 17th for a client who has previously seen Louise.
She has 2 dates in December 3rd Dec and 15th Dec – we can accommodate a double appointment for a new client on the Dec 3rd date. Single appointments for a member cost $52, and $65 for a non member.

Learn some handy “Tips and Hints” to help YOU manage your diabetes, discussions about understanding carbohydrates,
low carb style, cooking with whole grains, vegan and vegetarian, and meal planning with Nutritionist Coach Banks Pungbrakearti.

This session will include info from the previous sessions and also some follow-on information.
Cost is $25 but reduces to $22.50 for members
